Confession: It's a Wig!

Confession: My newest obsession will definitely have to be half wigs! I absoluelty never thought I would be into wigs, but after cutting my hair I needed something new. I went to the beauty supply and couldnt resist playing with the hair.....and of course I ended up buying some. Bets part is it only cost 30 bucks.

A half wig is piece that covers 3/4 of your head, only leaving out from ear to ear. Be mindful to pick a piece that will blend with your natural hair. I picked hair that was labeled 2 which is a brown color, but I will have to dye it for a better blend. The hair is great ifyou need length for styles as well. I will continue to play and post some styles you can create with it. :)

Thanks for reading.

Guilty Pleasure: Chanel Foundation

It was love at first application. Chanel's Perfection Lumere is my go to foundation for 2014. As much as I would have loved something more affordable, this foundation is worth the money. It cost $57 for the bottle, but if used correctly it will definitely last a few months; a little goes a long way.Normally I would stick with a cheaper foundation, but the quality of this one undeniable. I will admit I felt guilty for indulging at first, but once I had my first application at home I new I made the right choice!

The foundation is long wear with spf 15 and has a light weight texture. When I apply I just add it to my forehead, nose, and cheeks then blend outward. The product spreads easily and gives an even, matte, finish. For me, it gives a powder finish which I am loving. I bought the shade Beige Ambre, 34, and it fits me perfectly. It has a nice yellow undertone that brightens my complexion. If you are looking for a comparison, this foundation has the texture of MakeUp Forever's HD foundation with the finish of a Bare Minerals Powder. I know it sounds hard to believe, or even imagine, but take my word and try it out!

Wash, Treat, Moisturize.....repeat!

So what is the big trick to clear, radiant, skin???

Consistency....yes, consistency.

You can buy many products and pay for treatments, but at the end of the day your skin will always crave more. The most successful way to clear your skin and give it a natural glow is to give it what it needs every morning and night. Doing so will allow your skin to get rid of any makeup, dirt, or impurities it catches through the day and finally BREATHE. You can always add a treatment here or there for any extra boost!
So now I'm sure you are wondering what exactly you need to be consistent with. Listed below are the basic steps you can follow to start your journey to beautiful skin.
1. Cleanse
First you must clear your skin of any makeup, dirts, or oils that could be clogging your pores. Doing so will allow all following steps to penetrate deeper into your skin. I don't recommend getting to fancy with the cleanser, just find one for your skin type.
 For example:
If you have dry skin, get a cream cleanser.
For oily skin, get a foaming cleanser.
Combination skin can use a gel cleanser.

2. Treatment
The treatment is what will make the biggest difference in your skin and where I recommend to drop a little extra. In addition to a daily serum add an exfoliate that you can use every 3 or 4 days to remove dead skin and clean your pores. Look below for recommendations:
Acne prone skin - Buy a treatment with salicylic acid or willow bark that will go into your pores and clean them out.
Clogged Pores- Look for a product with glycolic acid that will remove dead skin cells and allow clogged dirt and oils to release. Also add a mud mask to your routine to pull out the dirt once you have removed your dead skin cells.
Dry skin- Use a hydrating serum or mask that add additional moisture to the skin
Dull skin- Look for a Vitamin C serum that will give your skin a daily boost and add radiance. Glycolic acid also helps because it is removing dead skin and showing your new, youthful, skin.

3 Moisturize
It is very important to finish with a moisturizer. EVEN FOR OILY SKIN. The moisture hydrates the skin in addition to any other benefits it offers. If you are oily it is especially important because more than likely your skin is producing so much oil to compensate for your dry skin! I would also recommend to sample a oil moisturizer. Keep in mind, oils break oils.

4. Protect
For morning use find either a moisturizer or spf that you can use to protect your skin. Sun protection is the #1 defense against aging.

10 possible reasons you are breaking out!

1. Diet - When you eat too much junk food it will show in your skin.
2. Dirty Cosmetic Brushes- Don't add last week's dirty oils to this week's fresh face.
3. Unwashed pillow covers - When you go to sleep every night you are transferring oils and if you do not           wash your pillow covers it is going right back to your skin.
4. Dehydration - deprived skin will scream for help!
5. Hormones - Well, if you are a woman you already know.
6. Wrong skin care products - It is essential to find products that work with out skin. If your skin is sensitive     you do not want to put strong acids on your skin, try willow bark or tea tree oil instead.
7. Clogged pores- A lack of exfoliation in combination with a poorly formulated foundation can cause build       up in your pores, resulting in black heads and pimples.
8. Over cleansing - Harsh exfoliation can spread the bacteria and cause unwanted break out and cleansing to     much will strip your skin of its moisture and natural oils.
9. Not cleansing enough - Do not let your makeup, oils, and dirt build up.
10. Stress - stress cause an increase in sebum which will result in, you guessed it, a break out.

Try eliminating any of the factor above with a consistent skin care regimen and you will see a dramatic difference in your skin.
